Newcastle United have beaten Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford, compounding the woes of under-fire manager Ruben Amorim.

The visitors struck early, with Alexander Isak heading home in the fourth minute after Anthony Gordon’s deflected cross.

Gordon was instrumental again in the 18th minute, delivering a pinpoint ball for Joelinton, who outjumped Lisandro Martinez to double Newcastle’s lead.

Sandro Tonali nearly made it 3-0 before the break, but his effort hit the post, leaving United fans in dismay.
