Coi Leray is the daughter of rapper and record producer Benzino. After her parents’ separation, Leray seems to have gone through some tough times, as she recently broke her silence about her struggles.
In her IRL podcast with Angie Martinez, she talked about her difficult time without her dad, saying, “It was hard to eat; my mom was cooking up nickels and dimes.”

She added “I would see my father like online or whatever. Even when the Love & Hip Hop and all kinda shi* was going. But at the same time, I’m like this, I’m like yo, how you get to live this life and we’re over here struggling?”.
Coi Leray claims she slept in cars and sold drugs
Coi Leray made some shocking claims in the podcast episode, stating that she had slept in cars and even sold drugs during tough times. She further mentioned that her dad is jealous of her success and is seeking attention.

However, in response to Coi’s revelations, her dad, Benzino, has broken his silence. He denied her claims of having slept in cars and selling drugs. Recently, during his Instagram live, Benzino took the time to address Coi Leray’s statements.
Benzino denies Coi ever slept in cars and sold drugs
During his Instagram live on 14th November, Benzino about his daughter’s claim said, “she said she slept in cars, she ain’t never slept in no f***ing cars”.
He added, ” That I knew about. I had my daughter five months out the year. I was with her mother until she was nine, then I had her from nine to sixteen five months out the year. She lived with me twice. She lived here in Atlanta with me she went to Campbell High School”.
He said, “I was single dad, and I was taking care of my kids. All of my kids. And her two older brothers by two other men that wasn’t mines”. He believed Coi was “brainwashed”.
Benzino on accusations of being jealous of her daughter’s success said “How tf can be envious towards someone I RAISED, NURTURED, PROVIDED FOR, INFLUENCED and LOVE VERY DEARLY”.
