A lawsuit filed on Monday has accused a member of the popular boy band Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, of sexually assaulting a minor identified as “A.R.” when he was 23 years old.

The legal document obtained by The Blast details the shocking allegations against Carter by A.R.

The lawsuit claims that “on or about August 29, 2003,” the “I Want It That Way” singer took A.R. to a cabin in his yacht where he provided her “with alcohol such that she was intoxicated at the time.”

It also reads that Carter later “engaged in oral sexual intercourse with A.R. and penetrated her vagina with his genitals” and “failed to use protection to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections to A.R.”

Following this alleged incident, the document shows that Carter told A.R. to Keep the “sexual abuse of her a secret.”

Shortly after this incident, the legal filing reads that A.R. was sexually assaulted again on a bus by Carter after being encouraged by the singer and his sister, Angel Carter, to meet up with him in the lounge of the vehicle.

The singer allegedly hosted a party on two of his boats, with his sister Angel and “three adult men” present. On this occasion, the document reads that Carter continuously provided A.R. with alcohol and drugs that “caused her to become intoxicated on his Yacht.”

It also alleges that Carter “instructed” the three adult men present to watch the “assault of A.R through a window hatch on the boat.”

According to the legal document, Carter proceeded to sexually assault A.R. on his yacht despite her “refusals and requests for him to stop.”

Per the court documents, the lawsuit claims that Carter infected the then-minor with human papillomavirus, also known as HPV, which can cause Cervical cancer and other cancers.

A.R. told her mother of the alleged assaults, and her mother, in turn, reported the case to the police in Pennsylvania “on or about December of 2003,” but Carter was never charged with a crime.

The legal document shows that the causes of action are sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Carter was previously hit with severe allegations by a lady named Shannon “Shay” Ruth and her lawyers. On December 8, 2022, the autistic woman, through tears, alleged on Facebook that the singer assaulted her sexually when she was just 17.

As The Blast reported, Ruth lamented, “The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame, and self-harm that are a direct result of Nick Carter raping me.”

She continued, “Even though I’m autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more or had a more lasting impact on my life than what Nick Carter did and said to me.”

Ruth alleged that Carter used a slanderous slur on her, left her with bruises on her arm, and was very “threatening” and “nasty.”

She said, “After he raped me, I remember him calling me a ‘re***ded b**ch’ and grabbing me and leaving bruises on my arm…Carter tried to scare me into silence… he was nasty and threatening.”

Carter denied Ruth’s allegations in a statement to Page Six by his attorney, Michael Holtz.

The singer slammed the claims as false and “legally meritless.” He also alleged that Ruth had been manipulated several times to make the accusations against him.

“This claim about an incident that supposedly took place more than 20 years ago is not only legally meritless but also untrue. Unfortunately, for several years now, Ms. Ruth has been manipulated into making false allegations about Nick – and those allegations have changed repeatedly and materially over time,” the statement read.

At the time, Carter was also backed up and supported by the Backstreet Boys. When one of the members, AJ McLean, got asked if he felt it was fair that the group’s Holiday show was canceled due to the allegations against Carter, he replied, “It’s an ongoing legal thing, and we all stand behind Nick, we all fully support him and we love him.”
