Ex-‘Hamilton’ Dancer Missing Days After SOS Alert Received From Phone

On Tuesday, volunteers will search for a man who vanished in South Carolina in early October.

WIS-TV reported that family members and We Are The Essentials, a search group from Central Florida, will look for Zelig Williams, 28, on the Palmetto Trail. The trail, located 30 miles from Williams’ family home in Richland County, is where he was last seen on October 3.

Williams’ car was discovered on the trail a day after his disappearance. His belongings were reportedly located inside the vehicle.

Williams’ family claimed that on the morning he vanished, they got an SOS ping from his phone from one of his friends in New York. The alert indicated a crash had occurred, but police said his car had no evidence of being in an accident.

Williams recently returned home after performing on Broadway and was slated to teach a dance class the month he vanished. It is unclear if foul play is suspected in his disappearance.

Williams was reportedly last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and brown slides. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Richland County Sheriff’s Department at 803-576-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.
