In a surreal bodycam segment, an alleged gunman taunts cops, refuses to follow commands under gunpoint, accuses them of lacking manners, and claims an officer touched his testicles.
“F—ing want to grab my balls, just say, ‘Hey, can I please grab your balls, dude?’ I’ll let you grab my f—ing scrotum, man. I mean, f — k, dude. I mean, f—, that f-g sh-t’s cool, but it ain’t that cool, man,” said Brandon Hovey, 41, on the night of Nov. 10, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He allegedly had recently fired two shots into the air outside the Quarter Celtic brewpub and used it to strike — not shoot — the manager after being told to leave, according to a KRQE report.
“Do you want any of this?” Hovey allegedly taunted victims after pointing the gun at them, according to The Albuquerque Journal.

Prosecutors ended up seeking and getting him held without bond. They claimed he had, on Nov. 8, 2024, also fired two rounds at the feet of two homeless men.
“He appears to be a walking bombshell, and he appears to have found his detonator: a firearm,” prosecutors said in a motion.
Records show he is being held without bond at Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center.
“Hey, could you put my jacket on me or just let me freeze? Or y’all got manners? OK. Cool,” he said on video, pre-balls allegation. “We got off on the wrong foot. It’s all good, man.
