A woman will spend a total of 30 years for murdering a housemate and driving the corpse out of state. The defendant, Courtney Dawn Gibson, 31, also received a concurrent sentence of 10 years in prison for tampering or fabricating with physical evidence, according to records out of Brevard County, Florida.
The case started back in February 2020 when Anna Primavere, 36, was reported missing from the home where she rented a room, say prosecutors in the 18th Judicial Circuit. Her car, phone, and other possessions remained at the residence, but her mattress was missing from her room.
The homeowner told cops that Gibson was also staying at the home, taking care of his child while he was out of town. He returned home to find the child alone — Gibson and Primavere were nowhere to be found.
Cops said that evidence showed someone cleaned up a crime scene. Officers suggest that the women got into some sot of confrontation that ended with Gibson killing Primavere.
Authorities found Gibson all the way over in Lebanon, Tennessee. And Primavere’s body was in her vehicle trunk.

“Dear family and friends, Thank you all for your kind words and support during this difficult time,” Primavere’s sister, Kristie Fuller, said at the time of the arrest in a statement shared with WKMG. “While we were holding out hope, we received the news we feared the most last night. The family is working closely with local law enforcement to seek justice and closure but nothing will ever fill the hole that’s been left in our hearts. My sister Anna was always full of life, making friends, and loved her family & close friends fiercely. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a great daughter, sister, and friend. The case stretched on for three years until Gibson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Sept. 27. She received 1,310 days of credit for time served in a sentencing hearing that took place on Wednesday.
She also has been sentenced for striking deputies in a May 10, 2020, altercation at the jail.
In another incident, on July 3, 2020, she got mad about having a cellmate.
“I explained that due to her not having a house alone tag that she was able to have a roommate,” deputies wrote. But once law enforcement closed the cell door, Gibson punched her cellmate in the back of the head.
