An “outgoing” 21-year-old woman from Venezuela who “loved to have fun” with her friends and their kids was found dead over the weekend in Pennsylvania, wrapped in a sheet and shower curtain with her body stuffed inside a futon in a section of Philadelphia, cops say.
The victim, who has not been named publicly by police, was identified by friends and former co-workers as a young woman from Venezuela who had only been in the U.S. for a year, according to local Fox affiliate WTFX. Police say she was stabbed multiple times in her neck and torso, and her body was found early Saturday at around 12:39 a.m. inside of an apartment in the 4400 block of Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Frankford section.
“It’s very scary,” neighbor Shirese Robinson told WTFX. “Like something straight out of a movie, like something you wouldn’t hear close to home.”
Several friends who asked to remain anonymous spoke to the local Fox affiliate about the victim and the type of person she was. None of them could think of anyone who would want to hurt her, WTFX reports.
“She was outgoing, funny. She loved to have fun,” one man said. “No negative vibes, all good positive energy. She loved doing TikToks with my kids.”

The pal and former co-worker told WTFX that her father and mother-in-law took the woman in “like a daughter” after she arrived from Venezuela. He said she was always hospitable and kind.
“Never needed nothing,” the man explained, noting how she was his wife’s “best friend” in town. “We always made sure she was cool,” the man said.
When police found the victim, officers were reportedly unable to find any weapons or evidence at the scene to help make an arrest. Officials told WTFX and other local news outlets that the woman was reported missing after friends were unable to contact her, with her last known appearance and contact being April 2, according to cops.
Police were still searching for the killer as of Monday morning and investigating the homicide.
“Hopefully whoever did it, put them away,” the victim’s friend and former co-worker said. “Let them suffer because at the end of the day the didn’t care about her.”
