An investigation has been launched into the unexpected deaths of a woman and child in central Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a home on Bean Street in Park Avenue, Rockhampton, just before 11am and located two dead bodies.

Police have declared the deaths of the woman and child as ‘sudden deaths’.

It’s understood the bodies were found after a man turned up at a police station, the Courier Mail reports.
