Deputies in Florida arrested a woman who allegedly threw kitchen knives at her fiance and kneed him in the groin after he left her at a bar.
Daileen Lillian Keller, 34, is facing charges of aggravated battery and domestic battery. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and Keller were at Amvets bar the night of Sept. 13 when he was ready to leave, but she wanted to stay. He left her there and drove home. A little while later, Keller returned home via an Uber.

He opened the door and she allegedly started punching him in the face and kneed him in the groin. She then allegedly moved to the kitchen where she armed herself with three kitchen knives and a bottle opener. The victim tried to wrestle the cutlery being used as weapons from Keller but she stabbed him in the forearm with the bottle opener, cops said. As he ran out of the home, she allegedly whipped two of the knives at him, which hit him in the back and ear.
The victim suffered a triangular cut on his left forearm, a minor puncture to his back and a cut to his right ear, the affidavit said. He got out of the home and called cops who responded to the home. Paramedics treated him on scene. Keller allegedly refused to come out of the home “for an extended period of time.” Deputies say they saw her peeking out of the window.
Eventually, she came out and deputies took custody of her. She admitted to being angry about her fiance leaving her but denied assaulting or threatening him. Deputies took her to the Flagler County Jail where she has since posted a $12,500 bond.
In a telephone interview with Law&Crime, Keller denied assaulting her fiance. She said after she came home from the bar, she went to bed. The next thing she remembered was the sheriff’s office outside ordering her to come out.
“Certainly what’s in report is not what happened at all,” she said. “I’m certainly not throwing any knives.”
Deputies noted there were three knives missing from the butcher’s block but Keller told Law&Crime they were in the dishwasher.
“Let this woman’s arrest be a lesson to all, violence is never the answer when you’re upset with someone,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement.
“At the end of the night, instead of sleeping it off at home, she got a bunk at the Green Roof Inn,” he added, invoking a nickname for the local jail.
