Stanley Kotowski

New details are emerging as police continue their search for a missing Masshachuessts father who vanished while on vacation in Hilton Head.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Stanley Kotowski, 60, was last seen leaving his rental Friday at Sea Pines Resort. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office stated that he was barefoot and without personal items, including his phone or wallet.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the home at 12:42 p.m. on the day Kotowski vanished, according to ABC 22. Police launched an extensive search operation using canines, drones, and helicopters, but the search has yet to produce any leads.

The lack of progress has intensified the family’s fears, including his wife, Jackie Kotowski, who reportedly said he had become paranoid in the weeks before their vacation.

“He just walked out the door. He had really bad insomnia for about a month. He doesn’t have dementia. His anxiety just kept getting worse and worse and worse and he started to get a little paranoid,” she said.

She told police that Stanley “believes Sea Pines is a ‘set up’ and has a conspiracy that the people here are out to get him. She stated that Stanley has made several statements of people at this place “watching him.””

Before leaving, he told his wife, “promise me you will go on without me.”

According to the sheriff’s office, Kotowski was seen on Ring camera footage wearing a gray Coors Light shirt and dark-colored shorts. He is about 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

He also has a “thick Boston accent.”

“And you’re not in trouble, Dad … we love you,” his son, Zak Kotowski, said. “Come home, we just want you home.”

Anyone with information on Kotowski’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
