A New Jersey man learned his fate this week after being convicted of killing his 6-year-old son after forcing him to run on a treadmill to lose weight and causing him to fall repeatedly.

Christopher Gregor, 32, was sentenced on Friday to 25 years in state prison in the 2021 death of his son Corey Micciolo, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced in a news release. The sentence will be subject to the terms of the “No Early Release Act,” meaning Gregor must serve at least 85% of his sentence before he is eligible for parole. Gregor was found guilty in May of aggravated manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
