Cierra Chapman

The reward for a missing Ohio woman has increased to $20,000 for information that leads to her whereabouts, according to Dayton police and the FBI.

Cierra Chapman, 30, was last seen on December 27 in Trotwood, at an Autumn Woods Drive apartment while visiting her boyfriend, police said. Two days later, her sister reported her missing.

Dayton Police Investigative Department’s Major Brian Johns previously said Chapman’s disappearance was “a well-orchestrated event” and “very suspicious.”

On January 6, police found Chapman’s SUV abandoned on Jewel Avenue in Middletown. Her purse and other personal items were found inside the vehicle and Dayton police said Chapman has no known ties to the Middletown area.

“Cierra didn’t just one day go missing by accident,” Johns said. “We know that this was a planned event. Something well orchestrated and that people know in Dayton what happened to Cierra, but they’re not coming forward.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Chapman’s family is optimistic that the reward money will lead to answers.

“(We’re) hoping and praying,” Chapman’s sister, Latisha Lofton, told ABC 9. “We got to be realistic and think of the good and think of the bad, but overall we still got hope that my sister is out there.”

“Cierra has a 15-year-old son, who needs and wants his mom.”

Law enforcement carried out multiple searches, but as of March 3, Chapman remains missing.

Chapman is described as a Black female who stands 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs around 115 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Chapman’s whereabouts is urged to contact Dayton police at 937-333-COPS (2677), or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at 937-222-STOP (7867) or www.miamivalleycrimestoppers.com.
