Update: North Texas Pediatric Assistant Arrested Again for Child Indecency

Another arrest has been made for a charge of indecency with a child involving a North Texas pediatric medical assistant.

Fox 4 reported that on October 9, Angel Nunez, 25, was arrested again for indecency with a child, who police say is only 9 years old. The latest arrest stems from the original August investigation and involves a child Nunez is believed to have molested in January 2024 while employed at Little Spurs Pediatrics in Irving.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, a Texas pediatrician’s assistant was arrested earlier this month and charged with indecency with a child.

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care in Irving contacted police in August after learning that Nunez had allegedly had inappropriate contact with multiple children, according to KDFW.

“These patients believed they were receiving a medical exam and were not aware at the time that they were being abused,” Irving police said in a news release.

An arrest warrant for one of the incidents says Nunez gave a 14-year-old boy a hernia exam during a sports physical and touched his genitals. Nunez was not trained for such an exam nor authorized to give it.

“Part of his duties were to take vitals and stuff, but he was not a physician himself,” said Irving Police Det. Andy Padrutt.

Padrutt said investigators have identified three victims and believe there may be more. The three victims range in age from 9 to 15, KTVT reported.

Nunez worked at the Irving office until August, when he was fired. He previously worked at Little Spurs clinics in Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Fort Worth. Investigators say he worked at other clinics before joining Little Spurs.

Irving police are asking parents to talk to their children, and if any believe they may have been a victim, they should call the police at 972-273-1010.

Nunez’s latest arrest has him booked in the Dallas County Jail as of Thursday, with his bond set at $300,000.
