A young pilot has been rushed to hospital following a light plane crash.
Just before 12.30 on Sunday emergency services were called by members of the public to the crash scene at Tumbulgum Rd at Tygalgah near the town of Murwillumbah in northern NSW.
Miraculously the 20-year-old pilot of the downed craft appeared to suffer no more than minor injuries.

However, we was rushed to Tweed Hospital for a full check-up.
An ambulance spokesperson later said the man was treated for minor scratches.
A crime scene has been established at the crash site and the incident is being investigated by police.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified and are conducting inquiries.
