A 39-year-old woman in Florida has been arrested after she allegedly killed her husband, fatally shooting him during an argument inside their home that also resulted in her shooting and injuring her teenage son.

Shaneeka Daschell Harris was taken into custody on Friday and charged with one count of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in the slaying of Aaron Swatts, records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

Officers with the Miami Gardens Police Department at about 6:40 a.m. on Friday responded to a call reporting shots fired at a home in the 19000 NW 46th Avenue, Miami ABC affiliate WPLG reported.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders reportedly said that they spotted movement in an upstairs window of the townhome and ordered any occupants to immediately exit the building.

The first person out was Harris’ unharmed son — identified in court documents as “J.T.” — who informed authorities that his 15-year-old brother had been shot “in the foot,” Miami NBC affiliate WTVJ reported. Harris and the 15-year-old brother — identified only at “T.T.” — came out next. The teen was reportedly suffering from a gunshot wound to his right thigh. After exiting, Harris told authorities that her husband was still inside the home

Police entered the home and performed a security sweep, during which they located an unresponsive Swatts lying on the ground in the doorway just outside of an upstairs bedroom. He appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to the back.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported Swatts to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the facility.

The injured teen was also transported to Aventura Hospital where he was treated and released. He was then brought to Miami Gardens Police headquarters with his mother and brother. Both of Harris’ kids reportedly told investigators that their mother was the one who shot Swatts and the teen.
