VIDEO: DEADBEAT DAD CARRIES LIMP BODY AFTER FORCING SON, 6, TO RUN TREADMILL, BOY DIES

Disturbing video footage shown in New Jersey’s Ocean City Superior Court last week depicts the moment murder suspect Christopher Gregor brought 6-year-old Corey Micciolo to a hospital before the child’s death.

In court Friday, jurors watched as the video showed Gregor bringing his son’s injured body into the  Southern Ocean Medical Center on April 2, 2021, just before the child’s passing.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, a previous video showed the defendant forcing his son to run on a treadmill, set at high speed, for around 12 minutes.

News 12 New Jersey reporter Jim Murdock. who has been covering the trial live, told Nancy Grace during Monday’s Crime Stories that the jury sat silent and in shock as they watched the boy fall off of the treadmill several times, with his father forcing him back on the machine.

“That child had been running for 12 full minutes before the dad sped it up,” Murdock told Grace. “Twelve minutes this child had been running at full speed before the speed and the incline were increased.”

The same video also showed Gregor, who learned about his son around a year before his death, appearing to bite his son on the head as he put him back on the treadmill.

“This is a man who is a sadist, who’s mean,” Bethany Marshall, Ph.D., M.F.T., said. “He gained control of the child in the child’s fifth year. He wasn’t even bonded with the child up until that point. He didn’t even care about the child.”

“He got the child from the mother so he could control, dominate, and abuse. This is the kind of abuser who pumps himself up by finding something small around him so that he can just use that small little thing as a punching bag.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Corey, who was just a few weeks shy of his seventh birthday, died from “blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis,” according to an autopsy report.

Before Corey’s death, Gregor had numerous encounters with law enforcement across several states. Between August 2017 and April 2018, he accumulated over six criminal charges, including assault, robbery, and destruction of property, the Post reports.

In September 2021, a forensic pathologist concluded that Corey’s death was a homicide, attributing it to enduring chronic abuse. This included blunt force injuries to his chest and abdomen, along with a laceration on his heart, a left pulmonary contusion, and liver lacerations and contusions.

Corey’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, previously told CrimeOnline that although there were numerous warning signs of abuse, she felt the Department of Protection and Permanency didn’t do enough to help, despite her making child abuse reports.

Micciolo began taking photos of her son after she suspected something was wrong. She said she tried to get the judge to allow her full custody of her son in April, but it didn’t happen in time.

Gregor has pleaded not guilty. Check back for updates.
