A Georgia family is mourning the loss of an 18-year-old man who was set to graduate high school when three masked gunmen allegedly posing as Uber Eats drivers opened fire on the teen after he opened the door.

The victim, Martino Allen, heard a knock on the door around 10 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex in Union City, which sits right outside Atlanta, his mother Tiffany Fuller explained to local ABC affiliate WSB and Fox affiliate WAGA.

“Someone knocked on the door and said Uber Eats, and when my son opened the door, they just started shooting him,” she said.

Three masked and hooded gunmen opened fire. A neighbor’s Ring camera footage captured the shots.

Allen’s family said he had been having trouble with some people at school and believe he was “set up.” Some of the people who were with him in the apartment ran away after the shooting and didn’t stay to help or talk to police, his family said.

Allen was a senior at McNair High School and had just attended prom last week, according to Fuller.

“They took my baby,” she said. “My baby’s gone.”

The death has been difficult on the family.
