A Texas couple has pleaded guilty two years after police say they bound and gagged the woman’s then-5- and 9-year-old children and forceably tattooed them.
According to an arrest affidavit, the children’s biological father saw the tattoos and reported them to Child Protective Services, after which Megan and Gunnar Farr, scraped the children’s skin raw and tried o remove the tattoo ink with lemon juice, KTRE reported.
The station had previously reported that the children told others that they were tied up with rope, blindfolded, and gagged while they were given the tattoos. Police said at the time that friends of the Farrs were in the house at the time.
Megan Farr told the children’s father about the tattoos and then “laughed about it and drove away.” Gunnar Farr told the father they used a staple to create the tattoos.
Gunnar Farr, 25, pleaded guilty on March 20 to unlawful restraint and bodily injury to a child charges, KTRE said. He was sentenced to two years in prison on the restraint charge and five years for each of two bodily injury charges, to be served concurrently. Megan Farr, 29, pleaded guilty to the same charges on Thursday and will be sentenced in 45 days.
