As police continue to search for the remains of Texas realtor Suzanne Simpson, missing for seven weeks, her husband remains behind bars on murder charges.

According to FOX News Digital, recently unsealed court records show that her husband, Brad Skmpson , exhibited “no emotion” upon learning of her disappearance, before being charged with her murder.

As CrimeOnline previously reported,  Simpson, 51, vanished on October 6, following an alleged argument with her husband outside their Olmos Park home near San Antonio. Authorities said Brad Simpson “intentionally and knowingly” killed his wife on that day, according to the  arrest affidavit.

He was formally charged with her murder on November 7.

“Officers have collected sufficient evidence to bring a murder charge,” Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Deon Cockrell said in a press briefing.

He’s now charged with assault causing bodily injury, family violence, and unlawful restraint, appeared indifferent to his wife’s disappearance, displaying “little to no emotion,” the arresting Texas Ranger observed.

Brad Simpson gave police conflicting statements about when he last saw his wife. At first, he told officers he hadn’t heard from her since 11 p.m. on October 6.

Later, he claimed the last time he saw her was the following morning, around 6:30 a.m., as he left to take their child to school. Simpson said he “peeked into a separate room and observed his wife asleep,” according to the records.

The Simpsons’ eldest daughter, 20-year-old Chandler Simpson, accused her father of killing her mother when she tried to leave him.

“My mom was a victim of abuse from my father,” she wrote in an Instagram story, “my father took my mothers life in a state of rage and control.”

Meanwhile, the search continues.

The “Find My iPhone” app last tracked Suzanne Simpson to her home at 10:22 p.m. on October 6, marking the final recorded location. Investigators report no evidence that she has been alive since the night Brad Simpson allegedly assaulted her.

Police said this has been confirmed through her phone records, financial transactions, and interviews with family, friends, and co-workers.

Brad Simpson remains behind bars at the  Bexar County jail. His bond hearing has been delayed to December 19.
