South Carolina Man Charged with Molesting 15-Year-Old Family Member for Years

Arthur Antoine’s wife is also charged in the case because she knew about the sexual assaults and did nothing, investigators say.

A South Carolina man and his wife were arrested and charged last week relating to sexual assaults against a 15-year-old member of the family that went on for two years.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested Arthur and Laura Antoine after a more than two-month investigation into the allegations.

Arthur Antoine was charged with criminal sexual conduct and buggery, while his wife was charged with unlawful neglect of a child.

Detectives said Laura Antoine knew about her husband’s “violent sexual abuse” of the teen girl and did nothing to stop it.

The Antoines were released on $25,000 bonds each after their arrest, according to jail records.
