This is the horrifying moment a man was left crushed in the middle of a busy Los Angeles street by a shameless hit-and-run driver.
Surveillance footage captured the horrific moment on Tuesday around 9.24am as a man driving a black Ford F-150 mowed down a 60-year-old pedestrian in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Reseda Boulevard and Clark Street.
The driver, an unidentified male dressed in a blue hoodie, dark pants and a baseball hat, struck the victim while making a left turn on Clark Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Several drivers and bystanders witnessed the sickening moment, immediately rushing to help the man left in the street.
After the incident, the pickup truck driver pulled over on the side of the road, but after checking on the victim for just a few seconds, he ‘returned to his vehicle and fled from the scene eastbound on Clark Street, failing to identify himself or render aid as required by law,’ police said.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and miraculously survived the hit-and-run. He has not yet been identified.
The driver has also not been identified, as police have asked the public for help locating him.
The department has also offered an award of up to $25,000 to anyone who comes forward with information leading to the driver’s ‘identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.’

The unidentified pickup truck driver, dressed in a blue hoodie, baseball hat and dark pants, initially pulled over and checked out the scene before speeding away
The terrifying moment started just after the Ford pickup truck ran the man over, as a spilled drink appeared to be thrown across the pavement.
The driver then pulls his car – piled high with items in the bed – to the side, while other worried witnesses run to help the victim.
One man hopped out of a white SUV across from the truck and pointed at the driver before approaching the man on the ground, along with others.
The pickup truck driver then appeared to go back in his vehicle as a woman pointed at him before running over to help.
As one man crouched down to check on the victim, the driver casually walked up to the scene, staring at his phone most of the time.
He took a few moments to look at the man he hit as others called 911 and got help.
When virtually everyone was distracted, the driver walked back to his truck, hopped in and fled the scene.
After realizing he sped away, the Good Samaritans tried to run after him but it was too late.
