An Argentinian tourist has suffered a shocking road rage ordeal which has tarnished her time in Australia, which had up until now been ‘beautiful’.
Chiara Sofia, 26, was parked in a car in Byron Bay in northern NSW when a man allegedly reversed towards her and blocked her at around 12.30pm last Wednesday.
She ‘politely’ asked the man to move forward, but he allegedly then ‘became full-on aggressive, throwing insults left, right and centre’ and smashed her windscreen.
‘We ended up having a bit of a heated argument – I’ll admit, I took it up a notch by tossing some soy sauce his way,’ she told Byron News.
The freelance photographer said she ran back to her car, but then a woman who was with the male – who has not yet been identified – tried to open the driver’s door.

‘It has left me stressed, traumatised and afraid.’
She has also had to pay for the repairs to the car which is owned by a friend.
