Two women have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after one is believed to have set the other on fire.
Police were called to Middlesex Crescent in Shepparton, north of Melbourne, about 6:30pm on Monday after reports a 20-year-old woman had been set alight.
Police believe a 33-year-old woman, understood to be known to the victim, had set the woman on fire.
She had initially fled from the scene before being found by police shortly after.
A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria told Daily Mail Australia they had airlifted both women to the Alfred Hospital, south of Melbourne’s CBD.
