Frantic 911 calls made after the fatal stabbing of a 1-year-old girl played in a Georgia courtroom Wednesday, during accused child killer Chloe Driver’s murder trial.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Driver, 24, is currently on trial in Cherokee county for the murder of her daughter, Hannah. Thie toddler died  in December 2020 while she was visiting a home with Driver, her father, and his two other wives.

While Driver acknowledged that she killed the toddler and wrote letters confessing to the crime, she entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

Driver is facing multiple charges, including felony murder with malice, cruelty to children, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault.

Driver, who was 20 years old when she killed her daughter, met her husband, Brian Joyce, when she was 17 and he was 38.

During opening statements on Tuesday, the state disclosed that the three wives and their husband engaged in alternative healing practices, including drinking their own urine and using sensory deprivation.

“They believed they had a higher consciousness than the rest of the world and lived a nomadic lifestyle without strong roots anywhere,” the prosecution said.

One of the 911 calls was then played in court, made by Jessica, the second wife in the group.

“I think a baby just died, and I think a woman is responsible for it,” she said.

“I don’t believe she is breathing… I believe she was slit across the throat.”

While responding to a 911 call, police discovered Driver and Hannah in an upstairs bedroom of the home, with stab wounds.

The defense said she experienced a psychotic episode at the time of her daughter’s death, marked by paranoia, delusions, hallucinations, and disordered thinking.

The prosecution said prosecution claimed that Driver “understood the wrongfulness of her actions,” adding that she made incriminating search queries weeks before the killing.

Driver allegedly grabbed a knife from the kitchen, then walked up to the bedroom, where she locked the door before stabbing the baby. She then stabbed her own self in the neck.

The prosecution stated that Hannah had been stabbed four times in the neck and once in the back.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
