Sebastian Rogers

The mother of missing Tennessee teen, Sebastian Rogers, says she plans to return home but for now, she’s hours away with her husband as the search continues.

Katie Proudfoot says she met up with her husband and Sebastian’s stepfather, Chris Proudfoot, over three hours from their Sumnter County home Chris previously told “Crime Stories” that he works on a construction project in Memphis and planned to return to work.

While speaking to Fox News Digital, Katie said that she continues to post flyers everywhere in search of Sebastian. She left her home, where she lives with Sebastian and her husband after allegedly getting threatened by the public.

“We are posting fliers every direction we can. But at the same time, there were quite a bit of people that were sending some very threatening and hateful messages to us. They’re following us. They’re driving past our house at all hours of the day or night, disturbing the neighborhood, and the neighborhood is very upset and concerned. They’re worried about their safety at this point,” she said.

Sebastian was last seen on February 26 at his family home in Sumner County. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation subsequently issued an AMBER Alert on the afternoon of February 27.

Katie told Nancy Grace last week that the only thing she heard the night before Sebastian disappeared was a “thud” coming from his room, and Sebastian telling her that he was OK shortly after.

There were no family altercations at the time, she said, but Grace questioned Chris Proudfoot regarding a spanking incident he discussed during a YouTube livestream with “Chronicles with Olivia.”

“Sebastian got caught lying…I gave him a swat with a belt on his buttocks on the outside of his clothes, one swat,” Chris Proudfoot told Grace, adding that it happened several years ago, “one and only one time.”

Chris said despite the purported rumors, the incident “did not turn into a CPS service call.”

Sebastian is described as a white male who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs between 106 to 108 pounds. He has dirty blond hair and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. His flashlight keychain is unaccounted for.

Anyone with information regarding Rogers’ whereabouts should call the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
