A Florida woman who police say has a “bad temper” is facing charges — again — after allegedly beating up a speeding driver.
Chaniese “KeKe” Brionne Davis, 32, of Winter Haven, was sitting in the back seat of a car that she apparently thought was going too fast, Winter Haven police said in a statement.

“[S]he got upset that the driver was speeding,” the statement said of the Sept. 25 encounter. “She was aggravated because she had a firearm and ‘molly’ (street term for Ecstasy) on her.”
Two other passengers were in the car at the time, police said. One was in the back seat with Davis and the other was in the front passenger seat. One of the passengers told the driver to take Davis to her home on Sears Avenue.
When they arrived, the real trouble began, police say.
Davis “reached over the seat attempting to get the key from the ignition and the victim’s phone charging cables,” the statement said. She then allegedly got out of the car and opened the driver’s door, grabbing the victim by the hair and starting to punch and kick her.
“Davis then took the firearm from her waistband, stepped on the victim’s face to pin her to the ground and put the gun to the victim’s head stating, ‘If you don’t stop fighting me, s— gonna get real,”” police said in the statement. “The victim feared for her life and stopped trying to escape, however Davis continued to punch and kick the victim while she was on the ground.”
A passenger tried to intervene and help the victim on the ground, but Davis just expanded her attack, police say, hitting that passenger on the left side of her face.
“The third victim ran over to attempt to help, but Davis attacked her and then ran back over to the first victim continuing to kick and strike her,” the statement says.
At that point, an “unknown male ran up and pulled Davis off the victim.” The driver and two other passengers were then able to get back inside the car and call police — but Davis, allegedly, wasn’t done.
“Davis threw a large rock at the windshield shattering it before she fled the scene on foot,” police say.
She had fled by the time police arrived but was arrested days later, on Oct. 2, and booked into jail. She has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a weapon, possessing a firearm as a felon, and criminal mischief.
Polk County records indicate that Davis has a felony background dating back to 2008. She has been convicted of robbery, tampering with court proceedings, battery, grand theft, and domestic violence battery. In July, she was charged with fraud, theft, and unauthorized use of public assistance.
Court records show that Davis was released but is subject to GPS tracking and prohibited from using, possessing, or carrying any firearms. She has an arraignment scheduled for Nov. 5.
