The body of a young woman found in a suburban home has left police baffled over the ‘unexplained’ death.
Emergency services were called to the Redwood Park address in Adelaide’s north-east just before 8am on Thursday after reports a woman had been found unconscious.
The woman, 26, was unable to be revived at the scene, despite the desperate efforts of emergency responders.
A crime scene was established with a section of Somerset Avenue cordoned off for much of the day.

The body of a woman was found at the Somerset Avenue home by police just before 8am on Thursday
Northern District police, Major Crime detectives, crime scene investigators and forensic officers attended the scene.
Detectives also interviewed residents as they try to determine how the woman died.
‘Investigators will be undertaking a comprehensive investigation into the cause and circumstances of her death,’ a police statement read.
The death has shocked residents in the usually quiet neighbourhood.
Matthew Thomson was surprised to see police arrive at the property hours after the ambulances left.
‘We saw about three ambulance vehicles at 8.10am this morning when I was getting ready to take my daughter to school,’ he told The Advertiser.
‘It was spooky seeing the ambulances here, but at the same time didn’t think too much of it.’
‘Then the police knocked on our door sometime between noon and 1pm.’
Another resident claimed she was told by police that it was a drug- related death.’
‘The police told me it was a young-ish woman that died in the house and that there were two other people with her,’ she said.
‘They were also questioning us about a black car that was driving on the street here last night.’
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
