Real Estate Agent Accused of Human Trafficking and ‘Sex Slaves’

A Milwaukee real estate agent accused of violent and sexual punishment against women living in his home has been charged with human trafficking and sexual assault.

Austin Paire Chronister, 38, appeared in court on Friday and was charged with human trafficking, false imprisonment, and two counts of second-degree sexual assault with domestic abuse assessments, according to the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal.

A Milwaukee defense attorney is also named in the complaint as the person who held onto the women’s birth certificates, Social Security cards, and paychecks.

Charges were initiated by two female victims who came forward with accusations of sexual and physical abuse while living in Chronister’s house.

The complaint against Chronister from one woman stated that she was physically abused if she did not complete chores or disobeyed. She also felt that she could not refuse sex.

Another woman alleged that she was beaten to the point of unconsciousness when she wanted to leave and woke up to find herself being sexually assaulted by Chronister.

Local 12 reported that one victim stated in the complaint that he would “hit, choke, trip, kick her, and there were also threats to inject her with a substance that would be harmful to her.” Another victim said that the women all had the same “slave tattoo” and “slave numbers.”

Fox 6 reported that the complaint against Chronister described his basement as a sex dungeon and stated that his home was frequently used to host BDSM parties.

Chronister is scheduled to return to court next week. His bond has been set at $75,000.
