Accused Georgia child killer Leilani Simon stands trial in Savannah, charged with murdering her son, Quinton Simon, and hiding body in a dumpster.

On Wednesday, prosecutors played new video footage for the jury, while investigators questioned Simon about contradictions in her story, according to WJCL.

As CrineOnline previously reported, Simon initially said that she left her 2-year-old son at home around 1 a.m. on October 5, 2022, to pick up dental pain medication from a friend.

Investigators said the footage captured her car entering the Azalea Mobile Home Park instead.

They also claimed that they suspected Simon left Quinton’s body in a dumpster at the mobile home park.

In the video, police asked Simon why she was not truthful about her whereabouts, but she insisted she met the friend at a Chevron gas station to get the medicine.

Investigators think Simon discarded Quinton’s body in a dumpster at the mobile home park.

An investigator also asked Simon why she wasn’t truthful about her whereabouts. Simon insisted she informed investigators she picked up the medicine from a friend.

Investigator: “It’s true you parked in the trailer park,”

Simon: “I stopped for two seconds to get the Orajel.”

Investigator: “You said two minutes.”

Simon: “You know what I mean. I was gone for a total of 12 minutes from the house.”

Investigator: “Right and you stopped in front of the dumpster.”

Simon: “No, no!”

Investigator: “Yes.”

Simon: “I may have stopped next to it but I didn’t stop in front of it; that’s the front of the neighborhood, right there is the front of the neighborhood.”

Investigator: “Okay.”

Simon: “I don’t know where my baby is.”

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
