Local UK residents in Wear Midlands claim reckless teen male drivers are plaguing the road where a 2-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run involving a stolen Porsche.

According to DailyMail, the fatal crash occurred Saturday on Dartmouth Road in Smethwick, West Midlands. A toddler lost his life, and four adults were hospitalized, including a 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man who are reported to be in serious condition.

“It’s dreadful what’s happened. When I came back on Saturday night I could see the road was blocked off,” resident Russell George told The Daily Telegraph.

“It’s really, really sad that it involved a small child.”

West Midlands Police are actively searching for the driver who escaped in a grey Porsche Cayenne,

A police spokesman confirmed that following the crash, 29-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were in serious condition in the hospital. Another woman, 39, has been released from the hospital, while an additional 30-year-old man continues to receive medical treatment.

During the last 18 months, police made 36 arrests under an interim order against street racing, with 90 percent resulting in convictions. Offenders faced suspended prison sentences and fines reaching up to £2,200.

“There’s a blind spot there, and it’s an accident black spot because of the roundabout,” another resident said.

“From what I understand it was a standard family car going at normal speed which had been hit, rear ended, by this stolen Porsche.”

Meanwhile, West Midlands officers continue to urge the responsible parties to come forward.

“Our officers are offering support to all those involved at this awful time.”

“We continue to urge the driver of a suspected stolen Porsche Cayenne, believed to be involved, to come forward.”
