Police Search Neighborhood for Florida Woman Missing Since Last Year

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) in Florida searched a Lantana neighborhood Wednesday for a woman who has been missing since October 2024.

Sara Gallagher, 44, was last seen walking her dog, Cooper, near the intersection of Hypoluxo Road and Eastview Drive in Lantana on October 30, 2024, according to 12 News.

Spokeswoman Teri Barbera reported that deputies were pursuing an investigative lead in the area but ultimately found no trace of her.

Gallagher’s family previously said that the disappearance is highly unusual.

”I feel saddened and guilty about this, but I was supposed to come visit her in September,” Joe Gallagher, Sara’s brother, told WOTV in December.

“My sister had reached out to my mom on Oct. 23, which is her birthday…It started to become clear, maybe mid-November, that people hadn’t seen her.”

Joe Gallagher added that someone dropped his sister off at The Hive before she vanished , a restaurant located west of Lantana.
