Cops in Florida arrested an alleged armed robbery suspect after he allegedly handed a pharmacist a note requesting a slew of prescription drugs including Viagra, Oxycodone and Xanax. He ran away with around 2,500 pills before he was quickly caught, a probable cause arrest affidavit said.
According to the Orlando Police Department, 23-year-old Thomas Mues on Friday walked into a CVS pharmacy on the city’s east side while wearing a surgical mask and hat and handed the pharmacist tech a hand-written note that said “This is a armed robbery” in big letters at the top.
It listed the following demands:
– Please cooperate, I don’t want to hurt you.
– You are not to alarm anybody or I will shoot the closed person to me!
– Please follow these directions or I will shoot the closed person to me!
The note went on to say “BAG THE FOLLOWING” and listed several drugs in specific doses in bottles. He wanted Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Adderall, liquid Codeine and Viagra, according to the note.
“When finished, place note in bag and lay down or I will shoot,” the note concluded.

Officers responded to the store and Mues ran away. He was apprehended nearby and taken into custody.
The pharmacist technician told detectives Mues handed her the note but she did not read it at first and started asking him routine questions. She said Mues kept telling her to read the note. When she did, she realized they were being robbed and she gave the note to the pharmacist, according to the affidavit.
The pharmacist went to Mues and told him it would take about three minutes to gather all the drugs he wanted. She did so and handed the drugs in the brown bag. Witnesses said Mues kept his hands in his pockets the whole time until he got the back. No weapon was seen.
Police say he traveled from Jacksonville to Orlando to commit the robbery and admitted to a similar robbery in Central Florida. He also wrote an apology note, the affidavit said.
“It was not my intention to hurt anybody inside nor did I have a weapon on me,” he wrote. “I know this may have been traumatizing for everybody inside and I just wanted to apologize and let it be known that I will be helping bring it to an end.”
Mues faces armed robbery with a mask and trafficking charges. He’s at the Orange County Jail where he’s being held without bond.
