A female hospital worker who has been charged over a plot to kidnap, rape and murder a girl under the age of 13 has been pictured for the first time.
Operating theatre assistant Tracy Turner, 51, has been suspended from her post at Wales’ largest hospital after being accused of planning the deadly kidnap plot.
Turner and her partner Stuart Compton, 45, are charged with conspiring to kidnap, rape and murder the girl, as well as plotting to sexually assault her by touching and sexually assault her by penetration.
Turner has also been charged with two counts of making indecent images of a child – one category B and the other category C – and one of perverting the course of justice.
It is alleged that Turner, who worked at Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales, hid a mobile phone on June 25 last year after her partner was arrested.
Compton and Turner, both from Cardiff, have denied all the charges against them.
They both appeared at Cardiff Crown Court earlier this month and are due to stand trial on May 12.
Turner worked in the busy operating theatre at the 800-bed University Hospital in Cardiff until she was suspended after police were contacted.
