A Pennsylvania woman charged with hanging her two children in the basement of her Berks County home four years ago may be preparing to enter a plea in her case.
Prosecutors intended to seek the death penalty for Lisa Snyder, as CrimeOnline previously reported, and her defense attorneys had filed paperwork saying they intended to present an insanity defense.
But new court documents say that Snyder is now scheduled for a plea hearing on November 17, The Morning Call reports.
District Attorney John Adams declined comment Thursday morning except to say, “I would only say, stay tuned for the next court hearing.”
As CrimeOnline reported, Snyder called 911 on September 23, 2019, at around 4:30 p.m. and said she found her children hanging inside the basement of their home.

After police arrived, they found the children — 8-year-old Conner and 4-year-old Brinley — still in the basement, hanging by a dog cable. They also found two dining room chairs found tipped over in the basement, around three feet apart from each other.
Snyder never returned to the basement after calling 911. First responders rushed the children to the hospital but both were pronounced dead.
Snyder reportedly said Conner was being bullied at school and had threatened suicide in the past. She then claimed Conner hanged himself and his sister because he didn’t want to die alone, according to a 911 dispatch call.
Investigators found no evidence corroborating the claim.
