A man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing 23-year-old tradie Dakota Woodford (pictured) outside of his grandparents' home in Paralowie, North Adelaide

Wild footage has emerged of a man being swarmed by police and arrested just hours after allegedly stabbing a young tradie to death.

Dakota Woodford, 23, was found by emergency services outside of his grandparents’ home on Henry Street in Paralowie, North Adelaide, in a critical condition about 7am on Tuesday.

The concreter had allegedly been stabbed by a 27-year-old man known to him and was rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he died shortly after.

Police descended on a home at Trott Park, 40kms south of the alleged incident, about 9:45am where the alleged attacker was swarmed by officers and arrested.

The Sheidow Park man was charged with murder after investigators were seen combing through the Paralowie crime scene and the accused’s home.

CCTV footage from a nearby home in Trott Park shows two officers aiming weapons at the man before he laid on the ground and surrendered.

Several more officers then arrive on the scene and surround the man before he was promptly handcuffed and arrested.

The 27-year-old was refused bail and is set to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

South Australia Police confirmed they are ‘not searching for anyone else in connection with this incident’.

Despite others being at the home at the time and contacting emergency services, no one else was injured.

A man believed to be a brother of Mr Woodford’s arrived at the Paralowie scene about midday and broke down into tears while speaking to two officers.

Meanwhile, investigators could be seen outside of the home scouring through the front yard and parking space.

An area just outside of the garage had two evidence markers placed next to a piece of white cloth and what appears to be streaks of blood.

Superintendent Julie Thomas told the media shortly after the incident that investigators were still yet to uncover a motive for the alleged attack.

She said the man was assisting police with their inquiries but the investigation remained in its ‘very early stages’.
