Spit on Sidewalk Leads to Arrest in 36-Year-Old Cold Case Murder of Massachusetts Woman

An Oklahoma teen and a suspect are dead, while a second teenager and several officers were injured after police responded to a domestic disturbance call in Oklahoma City.

KOCO reports that on Friday, two officers responded to a domestic situation involving a male suspect with a gun was threatening to shoot people around 1:15 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene in the 6600 block of Bayberry Drive, the officers were ambushed by the suspect. The officers reportedly returned fire, shooting and killing the suspect.

Inside the home, officers discovered two people who appeared to be teenagers, who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital, where one died. The other is in stable condition.

One of the officers involved in the shooting sustained a gunshot injury but is expected to recover.

Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure in these incidents.

No additional information has been released regarding the victims or the suspect at this time.

Meanwhile, residents expressed shock at the incident, according to OKC Fox 25.

“It’s really sad, you know? Because we never know who our neighbors are,” Susana Sandoval said. “We have to be careful and check our surroundings because we don’t know what’s around us.”

Sandoval noted that the shooting occurred in an area that is usually calm.

“Nothing like this has ever happened here in this neighborhood. Everything has been nice and good—until now.”
