Initially trying to brush it off, Sue Young, the Asian tourist, soon realized the three teenagers were causing trouble. Her husband’s intervention led to a violent attack, with one suspect pulling Young’s hair and repeatedly hitting her. Joanna Lin, a fellow passenger, captured the incident on her phone but was also assaulted. NYPD is searching for the suspects and has shared an image. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit a tip online. All information is confidential.

Lin anticipated trouble and began recording the incident with her phone, despite one of the suspects trying to obstruct her view. The video captured the teens confronting Young’s family on the train. A man attempted to step in, and another teen targeted Lin, causing her to briefly stop recording. When the girls got close to the family, Lin called 911. Suddenly, a teen with dreadlocks rushed at Lin, hitting her and causing her to stop filming again.
