New York City’s former buildings commissioner turned himself in Wednesday morning to face bribery related charges.
Eric Ulrich, 38, resigned from the top buildings department position in November after prosecutors seized his cellphone as part of the district attorney’s investigation into ties to organized crime and illegal gambling.
Attorney for Ulrich, Samuel M. Braverman, confirmed to DailyMail.com that his client surrendered Wednesday morning and will be arraigned in the afternoon where he is expected to enter a not guilty plea.
The New York Times reports that others will be arraigned along side the former commissioner for seeking favors from him.
Among those expected are brothers who own a Queens pizzeria Joseph and Anthony Livreri, Brooklyn towing company owner Michael Mazzio and Brooklyn real estate developer Mark Caller.
