NW Tennessee Homicide Victims All Related to Baby Found Abandoned in Stranger’s Yard

Authorities have identified the bodies of four people found dead in northwestern Tennessee on Tuesday as family members of the baby girl abandoned in a stranger’s front yard in neighboring Dyer County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation identified the victims of the homicide as 15-year-old Braydon Williams, 21-year-old James Matthew Wilson, 20-year-old Adrianna Williams, and 38-year-old Cortney Rose, according to KTVS. The bodies were found along Carrington Road in Tiptonville.

Investigators said they were all related to the 7-month-old baby girl found in a car seat in a front yard in Tigrett earlier in the day. According to Facebook posts, Wilson and Adrianna Williams are the baby’s parents, Rose is Williams’ mother, and the teen is Williams’ brother, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

The baby girl was dropped off in a car seat shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Dyer County deputies quickly identified the child and announced they were looking for the parents and Rose. Hours later came the discovery of the bodies. Officials did not initially directly connect the two incidents, although Dyer County officials discussed both in the same Facebook post with making a definitive connection, and Lake County reposted the Dyer County post.

Officials have not yet said how the four died. District Attorney Danny Goodman Jr. told WREG investigators do not believe the four were targeted and that it was not a random attack.

The TBI is now heading the investigation.
