A 26-year-old Connecticut man is behind bars in connection with the deaths of his girlfriend and his 2-year-old son.

Jevon Fletcher stands accused of two counts each of murder and murder with exceptional circumstances and risk of injury, according to West Haven police. Cops received several calls Saturday night for a disturbance at an apartment complex after Fletcher jumped out of a second-story apartment window.

Officers went inside the apartment from which he jumped and found a 19-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy stabbed to death. Officers took Fletcher into custody. He was released from the hospital Tuesday and brought to the jail where he remains on a $3 million bond. His next court date is scheduled for March 13.

Police have not released a motive for the murders.

The family identified the deceased woman as Hailey Miller. Officers have not released the name of the deceased child but said he was Fletcher’s son. Miller was not his mother but does leave behind a toddler son, a GoFundMe page said. The fundraiser described Miller as “a hard working mother, always looking to further her education/career.”
