New Jersey Woman Allegedly Offers Tinder Match $12K to Kill Police Officer and His Teen Daughter

Police arrested a New Jersey woman accused of trying to hire a Tinder match to kill her ex-boyfriend and his teenage daughter, police said.

Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, allegedly offered a man she met on the dating app $12,000 to kill her ex-boyfriend — a 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer — and his 19-year-old daughter, according to a Camden County criminal complaint obtained by NBC 10 Philadelphia.

Investigators said Diiorio, of Runnemede, said she wanted both victims to die, during phone calls and text messages with the Tinder match.

The informant contacted police and reported the plot last Thursday. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation and later arrested Diiorio.

Prosecutors on April 4 charged Diiorio with first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Investigators said Diiorio met the man from Tinder on March 31 at a Wawa in Runnemede. Over the next few days, she allegedly offered him cash to kill the cop and his daughter, according to the complaint.

After the informant alerted police, investigators interviewed the ex-boyfriend. He told them he had ended his relationship with Diiorio on March 6 after they were together for around a year.

COURT TV reports that the defendant was  “adamant about killing her ex-boyfriend,” following the breakup, according to the complaint.

On April 4, Diiorio handed the man from Tinder $500 in cash during a meeting in the 1300 block of North Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township, court records stated. She allegedly gave him the money as a down payment to carry out the killings.

Gloucester Township police arrested her on the spot, following the money exchange. Officers booked Diiorio into the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Detective Ryan Durham of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (856) 225-5127.

The investigation is ongoing. Check back for updates.
