Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment a pedestrian was left seriously injured after being ploughed into by an 84-year-old driver with no driving licence.
Josephine Dolphin was captured on camera driving straight into the woman, who was in clear view and had been crossing the road, in December last year.
The victim was sent flying though the air before being left lying motionless on the ground.
A court heard the pensioner failed to see the victim as she crossed Picton Street, in Leek, Staffordshire, prior to the collision on December 13.
The woman suffered a broken nose, fractured jaw and bruising after being struck by Dolphin’s Vauxhall Astra as she turned right into the street where she lives.

Dolphin was handed a three year year driving ban and a court bill of £1,589, which includes £350 of compensation for the victim.

The victim is understood to have received counselling following the incident.
