A Florida woman was sentenced on Monday to 30 years in prison for leaving her 7-week-old daughter in a hot car in 2020, killing her.
WMBB reported that Megan Dauphin left McKinlee Garner in her car in Panama City. Dauphin had purchased cigarettes with Garner in the car, but she forgot to take her out once she got home.
It was not until Dauphin’s stepdaughter asked about the baby did she realize she was still in the car.
