Mom dragged dad with SUV, made children carry him back to the car before cops arrived: Police

A South Carolina woman who allegedly struck her husband with her SUV then had her kids put him in the car to bring him home has been charged with attempted murder.

Brittany Rose Hernandez, 35, was accused striking her 44-year-old husband with her Chevy Traverse near an intersection in Forest Acres, South Carolina on Tuesday. According to Forest Acres Police, a witness saw a pedestrian get hit and “dragged” by an SUV between 6:35 and 6:45 p.m. that day and they called 911.

When police arrived, the alleged victim was nowhere to be found.

“Officers responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the injured man had disappeared,” the statement from Forest Acres police said.

The same witness who saw the alleged incident also told police that they saw two children put the victim into the SUV, which then drove away. The investigation revealed that the entire alleged incident was caught on nearby surveillance camera.
