MISSING: Rancher Vanishes While Walking to Work in Remote Desert Town

The search continues for a Utah woman who reportedly vanished a month ago in a rural area.

Elizibeth Green’s family reported her disappearance to Juab County police on April 17. According to KUTV, Green, 24, was last seen walking to a nearby ranch in Callao where she had gotten a new job.

On April 18, the Juab County Search and Rescue team searched where Green was last seen. KUTV reported that authorities also searched the ranch where Green was going to work.

According to the news outlet, the rancher said Green never made it to work and he has not been in contact with her.

Those close to Green allegedly told police that she suffers from mental health issues and has a history of running away. However, they said she always returned or reached out to them within a day or so.

Police also reportedly tried to ping her phone without any luck.

“Based on the information that we have received, we are concerned about the possibility that Elizibeth is in danger of serious bodily injury or death,” police said in the warrant obtained by KUTV. “It is unknown if Elizibeth is in danger and lost in the vast desert, or if someone that she was communicating with met with her and is holding her against her will.”

Green was described as standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 125, and having light brown hair and green eyes. She was reportedly last seen wearing a pink tie-dye high-cut hoodie, light blue jeans, and black Converse sneakers. She was carrying a white backpack purse.

Anyone with information regarding Green’s whereabouts should call the Juab County Sheriff’s Office at 435-856-0358 and reference case #24JC0335.
