Missing NFL Players Posts Rambling Videos About Murdered Mother, His Possible Location

A former NFL player — who police say is missing after his mother was found murdered in a creek behind her house — appears to be posting bizarre videos on social media.

Maywood Police say they’re aware of the videos and are trying to authenticate them, according to WLS.

Family members reported Brown and his mother, 73-year-old Myrtle Brown, missing on Saturday when they were unable to contact them, CrimeOnline reported. Police later found Myrtle Brown dead in a creek behind her home with “multiple injuries due to assault,” but they did not find her son, who lived with her.

Police have not named Brown, 35, a suspect in his mother’s death but say they would like to speak with him.

A person strongly resembling Brown posted a rambling Instagram story earlier this week, tagged in Mexico, in which he talked about the FBI and Maywood police, WLS reported. A few hours later, he posted another story, tagged in Sydney Australia, and showing characters from the movie “Finding Nemo.”

In an earlier video, he called the death of his mother “fake news” and blamed the FBI, Deadspin reported. In that video, he said he thought his mother was “on vacation” in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. That post was initially tagged in Mexico but was deleted and reposted on another of his accounts without the location.

He also said he was kidnapped twice by Mayfield police.

In one of the recent videos, he walks around shirtless, singing the Drake song, “Legend”: “Oh my God, oh my God, if I die, I’m a legend,” he sings.

Brown was signed by five teams across seven seasons in the NFL between 2010 and 2016.
