Maryland deputies have confirmed the worst fears in the search for a missing mother of two. Not only have they charged her boyfriend in her murder, but they are also going after his uncle for allegedly acting as an accessory after the fact.
“While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra,” Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said about the tragic end to their search for Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23. “On behalf of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, I offer our most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.”
Deputies have said it was Guerra’s boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, 24, who reported her missing on April 2 — two days after her last confirmed appearance. Authorities suspected foul play in her disappearance, claiming the family’s Toyota 4Runner on April 1 moved from the front of the home to the back and then the front again. This would have been awkward due to the layout of the property.
Charles County deputies now say that they and their police counterparts from Prince George’s County searched outside Cedarville State Forest and found Guerra buried in a heavily wooded area.
Now the boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, 24, is charged with murder. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement previously detained him for being undocumented. Maryland authorities also claim that his uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra-Bererra, 37, served as an accessory after the fact.
This uncle allegedly told investigators on Thursday that Barrera-Rosa told him that Guerra died from strangulation, according to documents obtained by Southern Maryland News Net. Barrera-Barrera said he helped bury the body, investigators said. Authorities said digital evidence supported the statement.
