Fugitive Felon Shot Dead After Hostage Situation; His Wife Remains Missing

Police in Missouri say a.missing 32-year-old Quincy woman is likely dead, following the death of her husband.

As CrineOnline previously reported. Britney Kelly was reported missing to the Quincy Police Department earlier this month. She was last heard from on December 14 in St. Charles, while reportedly with her husband., Chadwick Kelly.

Chadwick was killed in a shootout with police following a standoff in Labelle on December 20, during which he took another woman hostage before trying to escape while armed.

“During the negotiations, Kelly fired numerous rounds from inside the residence, toward officers,” the state agency said. “Kelly later ran from the residence armed with a gun and members of the Patrol fired their weapons.”

The Lewis County Coroner arrived on the scene and pronounced Kelly dead

WLDS reports that St. Charles investigators gathered evidence suggesting that Britney Kelly is deceased. The case has been labeled an homicide and her husband is considered a suspect. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Police are requesting information from anyone who may have spotted a 2020 Audi III with Illinois license plates ET 25911, between December 18 and December 20.

Britney Kelly is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and about 135 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
