A man this morning has been arrested after he climbed over a wall into the Royal Mews area next to Buckingham Palace, the Met Police has said.

At 1.25am today, officers at Buckingham Palace responded to a person climbing the wall and entering the Royal Mews.

After a search, a 25-year-old man was detained by officers outside the stables in the Royal Mews, the Met said.
