A Michigan man reportedly turned himself in to police after allegedly stabbing his wife with a plastic sword then finishing her off with a pair of pliers.
The Wayne County State’s Attorney’s Office announced a first-degree murder charge against 68-year-old Timothy Morgan, who they allege killed his wife, 67-year-old Kathryn Morgan, in the early morning hours of May 4. According to the Detroit Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Detroit’s Conley Street for a reported stabbing at around 4:30 a.m. and found the body of Kathryn Morgan inside with “multiple stab wounds to the back and to the head.”

According to police and the state’s attorney, Timothy Morgan turned himself in at the Detroit Police Department’s 11th Precinct and was booked into the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center, where he is being held without bond.
Police believe that the alleged murder weapons were a plastic sword and a pair of pliers, which were used to strike a fatal blow to Kathryn Morgan’s head. According to the police, in their Facebook post, they stated that the plastic sword was used to stab her several times.

Kathryn Morgan was found in the home’s living room, police said. They did not provide details about a possible motive for the homicide.
The State’s Attorney’s Office stated that Timothy Morgan was arraigned on Tuesday and will appear in court again on May 16 for a probable cause hearing. A preliminary examination is scheduled for May 22.
